CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

CranioSacral Therapy focuses on following the body's biological wisdom to balance the body's membrane and fascial system and enhance the functioning of the CranioSacral system, a fluid circulatory system that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. Treatments are deeply relaxing and involve light-touch to work with the bones of the face, head and vertibral column. It is most commonly used to treat headaches, neck and back pain, scoliosis, TJM-related jaw pain, sinus conditions, vision problems and stress-related illness. It is also very effective in helping with autism, dyslexia, learning disabilities and developmental challenges.

SomatoEmotional Release is a component of CranioSacral Therapy that can help the client release emotional energy attached to a physical trauma. For example, if you've ever had a physical injury that continued to produce symptoms long after the injury site was healed, there may be a strong emotional component attached to the injury. Perhaps you were experiencing strong emotions at the time of the injury, as you would during a car accident. During SomatoEmotional Release, the therapist engages in therapeutic imagery and dialogue techniques that can help the client release long-held emotions that have been disrupting his physical health so that the body can then return to its optimal levels of functioning.
