You may have never heard of Craniosacral Therapy, or you may have heard about it and have wondered what it is, or if you'd like to experience it. You might be surprised to learn that this modality has some unique and valuable ways of addressing the body-mind-spirit that helps bring about lasting changes for those who experience it.
Craniosacral Therapy uses light-touch techniques to balance the craniosacral system, the fluid and membrane system that surrounds and protects the central nervous system. The performance of the craniosacral system is critical to good health since it has a direct influence on your body's motor function, learning patterns and emotions.
Craniosacral Therapy helps bolster your immune system and improves the way you respond to stress and illness. The techniques used in this modality work deep within the body to remove long-standing restrictions, stresses and strain patterns. But there is also a unique spiritual dimension to the practice of Craniosacral Therapy. The fluid and rhythm of our craniosacral system contains a field of intellegence and information. A trained theapist can tune into this information.
As the therapist uses gentle, non-invasive, respectful touch, the client begins to feel a sense of safety, which causes a shift in their energy. The therapist's touch may begin to evoke memories of physical or emotional trauma in the area being touched. The therapist helps the client stay centered in present time as the client begins releasing long-held trauma in areas of his body. The therapist may guide the client to ask himself why energy is stuck in an area of his body, and what it needs to release. This is a profound way for the client to come back to his center, get in touch with his body, and listen to his own needs. After a Craniosacral Therapy session clients report feeling blissfully relaxed, centered, refreshed and re-energized. Results are long-lasting and many times permanent since they come from your own system.

SOMATIC TRAUMA RESOLUTION
We access the intelligence of the body through somatic awareness. Somatic awareness refers to the feeling of the body, its structure, energy and function, and how the experience of being alive happens through the body. In Somatic Trauma Resolution I work perceptually, helping my clients become aware of how their body reacts to their thought processes. As the client shifts their thinking, they begin to percieve that re-organization happens in their body as well.
Trauma is caused by whatever is overwhelming to the nervous system. Often traumatic events pile on top of each other without time for for them to be discharged. The result can be physical symptoms that are difficult to diagnose or resolve. After an emergency, if we have not been able to run or fight back, or otherwise expend the adrenaline that arose for the emergency, that energy can end up trapped in the tissues of the body.
The goal of Somatic Trauma Resolution is reinstatement of resiliency in the nervous system - to enable it to remember how to discharge trauma. The therapist helps the client access the somatic inteligence of their body to heal old wounds and traumas. To book a session go to www.CraniosaCralcare.com

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
CranioSacral Therapy focuses on following the body's biological wisdom to balance the body's membrane and fascial system and enhance the functioning of the CranioSacral system, a fluid circulatory system that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. Treatments are deeply relaxing and involve light-touch to work with the bones of the face, head and vertibral column. It is most commonly used to treat headaches, neck and back pain, scoliosis, TJM-related jaw pain, sinus conditions, vision problems and stress-related illness. It is also very effective in helping with autism, dyslexia, learning disabilities and developmental challenges.
SomatoEmotional Release is a component of CranioSacral Therapy that can help the client release emotional energy attached to a physical trauma. For example, if you've ever had a physical injury that continued to produce symptoms long after the injury site was healed, there may be a strong emotional component attached to the injury. Perhaps you were experiencing strong emotions at the time of the injury, as you would during a car accident. During SomatoEmotional Release, the therapist engages in therapeutic imagery and dialogue techniques that can help the client release long-held emotions that have been disrupting his physical health so that the body can then return to its optimal levels of functioning.
I am a Techniques and Diplomate level certified CranoSacral Therapist. To book a CranioSacral Therapy/SomatoEmotional Release session go to www.CraniosaCralcare.com
